Starting July 15, 2026, Netflix will stop working on several older TV models, excluding access to the native app and its updates. This adjustment responds to the need to maintain current security and performance standards, which excludes devices manufactured before 2015.

The definitive suspension of application support mainly affects televisions from brands such as Samsung, Sony, LG and Panasonic, whose older models will not be able to open, download or update the official app.
Why Netflix ends support for its app on older TVs
The decision is based on the inability to guarantee a consistent and secure experience on devices that have stopped receiving updates from the manufacturer. Netflix explains that devices that do not meet performance requirementsstability and security are left out of the support.
